Ghost
hunting has been around for a long, long time. Probably ever since the
concept of an after-life was first conceived by mankind. It grew in
popularity in the 30's, and spawned quite a movement that produced many of
the current conventions attached to it. There was a highly successful
movie way back in 1940 starring Bob Hope called "Ghost Breakers" -- a reflection
of Ghost Hunting's popularity. Nothing, however, has ever quite equalled the current burst of notoriety Ghost Hunting is enjoying. We can thank the 'dawning of the age of Aquarius' for this trend, for the move toward matters paranormal received a healthy boost in the 60's and it has been a steep curve ever since. Finally, who can ignore what has happened since the TV series "Ghost Hunters" came on the scene? Now virtually every city in every state -- large, medium and small -- seems to have a Paranormal Club of some kind or other.
